President's Message Summer 2015

With Summer heating up so are the plans for Starfest 2016. The website is now live at http://starfest2016.mbca.org/ . Online registration is now open with prices at or below Starfest 2012! A full list of events and venues are listed including hotel registration, which is a direct link to Mohegan Sun, this ensures that you'll get the Starfest room rate.

A lot of time and effort has gone into the planning to make this the best Starfest The Club has ever seen. If you can't find something to do at Mohegan Sun, it doesn't exist.

Our track day at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park will act as tune up for Starfest track events. The track is smooth and flowing and once you get the rhythm it's a blast to drive.

Register early as events and rooms will fill up fast.

In November we will be hosting The National Board Meeting at the Burlington Marriott. Here's your chance to see how The Club works on a national level, you can join in on the meeting and share your opinions. Info will be on the website shortly.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer and buy a friend a Membership!

President's Message Spring 2015

With the Annual Dinner on March 29th, our events have started for 2015. Rich Garrick did an outstanding job with the Play and the Dinner, he's done this for an amazing 28 years!

We Honored Rich with the Minuteman Member of The Year, well deserved for a man who has shown continued loyalty and support of the Section.

We have a new Sponsor, I should say Partner because it truly is a Partnership, in Mercedes Benz of Burlington. They have agreed to become the title sponsor of our Track Day as well as buying a Membership for every customer who buys a car! MBOB's mission is to put the customer experience first, including treating everyone as an honored guest, excellent service and amenities that will impress.

I want to thank the entire Team at Mercedes Benz of Burlington and look forward to a long lasting Partnership. A big thank you to VP Ed Owen for arranging the meeting.

The EAS Tech event is April 25th and the Track Day is July 21st, hope to see a lot of members at these two events.

Work continues on Starfest 2016, the website is up http://starfest2016.mbca.org/ with most of the information and more to come.

President's Message Winter 2015

Welcome to 2015, hope everyones Holidays went well. Nancy and I had a quiet, enjoyable time with family.

The big news for 2015 is the Advance Driving Skills and Track Day at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on July 21st. This is a chance to learn the handling and performance capabilities of your Mercedes Benz in a controlled environment with personal on track instruction. Our cars are built with advanced performance and safety features that few of us use, learning how to drive your Mercedes at higher speeds will make you a more capable driver both on the track and the street.

You'll be on the track with drivers of the same experience level IE; Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. This will ensure that everyone will be able to drive at speeds comparable to each other and not have to deal with cars attaining speeds higher than your experience level.

The notice, requirements and forms are on the Web, you will need to have your car inspected by a Certified Mechanic{ see our sponsors} within six months of the event, something every car could use and a helmet.

Rich Garick's Annual Dinner event will be a new and unique experience, the email has been sent and the event notice is in the Newsletter and on the Web.

Other events will be posted as info becomes available. If there's an event you'd like to run, just call or email me.
