Happy Spring Everyone!

   Big thank you to Dean Coclin for stepping up and taking on the newly created position of Membership Chair, we really appreciate your efforts.  Best of luck to Ernie Fancy who has moved on from our Section Treasurer to National Director at Large, thank you Ernie for all your hard work and commitment to the Minuteman section.  Elections are coming up at the end of this month,  I would encourage anyone who is interested in being a part of the board to join us for dinner at the Eastern Standard.  

   So the driving season is upon is, keep up to date with our club happenings at our “Upcoming Events” page: https://minuteman.mbca.org/section-upcoming-events.   Our next event is the 11^th Annual European Auto Solutions Tech Session on April 20^th, followed by Art of the Automobile IV, and then our Newport Polo Tailgate party.  I hope to see as many of you out there enjoying your Mercedes-Benz ownership and being involved in our club activities!

Happy summer, everyone!  Finally the open road driving season is upon us. We had some fun events this past spring that were very well attended including the EAS Tech Session and Art of the Automobile.  Very happy to see the Minuteman Section well represented in Alabama at Starfest 2018. Looking forward to seeing more of you participate in the upcoming events: The Newport Polo Tailgate in July, the Nautical Cruise in August, Germanfest in September, and Faberallye in October. If anyone has an additional idea and or would like to host an event, please reach out to me.

     Would also like to congratulate Mercedes-Benz of Springfield on their opening out in Chicopee, MA. It has been a while since there was a dealer servicing The Pioneer Valley, and after talking with one of the Principals, I know our members will be in good hands.

After 10 years as President this is my final PM. 2017 will see Ed Owen as President, someone I think

will bring the Section to new levels. Ed is a well qualified, certified Mercedes Benz nut!

In the last 10 years the Section has added new events along with old favorites. We convinced the

National Board to allow us to email the Newsletter saving $6000 per year over printing and mailing.

Nancy's original Website allowed us to keep you informed as well as adding Web Banner Advertising

which was the catalyst for our financial successes. It also led to Sponsorship of our major events. Today

the Treasury balance is 18 times higher than it was in 2006.

The biggest part of being president is the friends I've made over the past 10 years. You, the Members

are the best part! Making friends is what being part of the Mercedes Benz Club is all about.

Anything I may have accomplished in the last 10 years, could not have been done with out my wife Nancy.

She's been at my side the whole time. Thank you Honey.
