After two years of planning, StarFest 2016 was held the first week of August. Three Hundred and Seventeen Members from as far away as WA, AZ, NM, CA and Canada enjoyed the events which included Track, Concours, Ken Bourque's Nautical Cruises and Court Brannen's Rallye.
 
It was an action packed 4 days that had everyone tired but happy at the end.
 
I want to thank all the Members of the Minuteman Section who worked hard to make StarFest 2016 an outstanding event. With out you it would never have been as successful an event.

Happy New Year to everyone. 2016 is going to be a very busy year for our Section. It all revolves around Starfest. A large amount of work has already been done, with a whole lot more to come.

We'll need members for Hospitalty, Car Show and Track events. Registration packets will take a large effort.

For those of you who like like to learn how to judge at a car show, Ed Owen and Peter Lesler will be holding a class this spring. You'll learn what to look for and how to read the score sheet and a lot history of Mercedes Benz cars. After the class you'll be qualified to judge at Starfest.

New events for 2016 will posted soon, as usual a mix of old favorites and new.

Farberallye and Germanfest are being held on the weekend of September 26th. The next event is the National Board Meeting on November 14th.

It will be held at the Burlington Marriott in Burlington, Ma and all members are invited to attend. Here's your chance to see the National Board in action locally. If you'd like to attend the dinner contact the National Business Office.

Starfest is continuing to take shape. In order to register you must be a Club Member and your spouse/guest must be registered as your Assoc. Member. If they are not, you can log on to your page at www.mbca.org and list them. You can also call the NBO 1-800-637-2360 to add them.

We need new events and members to run them. Some of our events are getting long in the tooth and it's time to change it up. With 700 members I'm sure we can come up with 2 or 3 new events. Contact me with your ideas, [email protected] or 860-315-5575.
