What an amazing day!
With absolutely perfect weather, members of the Minuteman Mercedes Benz Club, and the Pagoda Club (230SL, 250SL, 280SL owners), with their spouses, partners and friends, rallied at Manchester-by-the-Sea’s Dunkin Donuts parking lot for a pre-tour briefing and then 28 cars were off to explore Cape Anne’s hidden coves, private beaches, magnificent ocean views along with glimpses of the secluded enclaves of several of the great ocean front estates of Boston’s North Shore. The tour ran along north shore coastal roads from Manchester-by-the-Sea, through Magnolia, passing by Hammond Castle, then through Gloucester and ending in Rockport.
The event had been coordinated by Ulysses De Guzman and Roland Boucher. Roland and his wife had mapped out the route and led the way. Ulysses coordinated the event with the club and all the on-line posting and behind the scenes planning.
After our tour the group met for lunch at Shea’s Riverside Restaurant in Essex, MA. Over lunch, members enjoyed the camaraderie and talked about the discovered areas they want to further explore. They had a great time with their Mercedes along with good company and beautiful weather.
