Here's an easy way to clean the engine. Has to be cold, cover the air cleaner so you don't have to clean it again.

Spray the entire engine compartment with Simple Green, have a beer and let it sit for 15 minutes. Get, another beer, and spray off the entire area. Wipe or blow off the excess water, then close the hood and let the engine run for about 15 minutes.

Get another beer. Hope it's 34 degrees. If its a dry day, go to the next step, if not wait until the next day. Don't drive the car, it will get dirty and if your doing this right you have had too many beers.

Next step, spray the entire engine compartment with Armor All -- soak it. Have another beer. After a few more beers wipe off the excess only if it puddles, use a Q tip, preferably Johnson and Johnson, they work the best. Start the car and let run for 15 minutes, at this point the beers are going down well, so have a couple.

Open the hood and check the results. If it looks good close the hood and check the results in the morning. Now it's time to pat yourself on the back and finish the 30 pack.
